Attending the National Final Round
The primary venue for the National Final Round is Massey University, Auckland
Any alternative venue or remote sitting requires prior EONZ approval and is not guaranteed.
Reasonable accessibility arrangements may be considered where they preserve assessment integrity and the essential requirements of the NFR
Candidates attending the Auckland venue and their families arrange and fund their own travel, accommodation and related costs. EONZ does not provide or guarantee travel funding. Students may independently seek sponsorship.

All eligible students who participate in NFR
All eligible students who participate in the National Final Round are recognised as EONZ National Finalists, irrespective of whether they receive a National Gold, Silver, Bronze or Honourable Mention award.
National Final Round awards are based solely on performance in the written NFR examination and are confirmed through marking and moderation. Individual numerical rankings are not issued or published.

Special Arrangements
Requests for approved examination arrangements must be submitted to EONZ at least five working days before the National Final Round.
Approved arrangements do not automatically include additional examination time.
From National Finalist to National Selection Squad
After NFR marking and moderation, up to 30 high-performing students may be invited to the National Selection Squad. Invitations consider NFR results, the minimum academic standard, eligibility and academic integrity. EONZ is not required to fill all 30 places if the academic standard is not met.
Squad membership is not Team NZ selection.
A New Zealand passport is not required for National Selection Squad membership or the National Training and Selection Programme.
Team NZ eligibility requires New Zealand representation eligibility.
Later selection includes online training, assessments and the in-person EONZ Camp in May.
